Minimum specifications:
  • Microsoft Windows 2000
  • A PC with 1.5GHz processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 5GB of available hard disk space
  • A 32-bit colour display, capable of 1024x768 pixels resolution
  • A 56k (dial-up) internet connection*
  • A 3D-capable graphics card with the latest OpenGL drivers.
    Your card should support DirectX 9 and Shader Model 2. We recommend at least a NVIDIA 5200 or equivalent.

  • A 32-bit colour display, capable of 1280x960 pixels resolution
  • A broadband internet connection*
  • A 3D-capable graphics card with the latest OpenGL drivers.
    Your card should support DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3. We recommend at least a NVIDIA 7600 or equivalent.

Mac OS

Recommended specifications:
  • MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard)
  • Intel* Macbook Pro or better
  • A broadband internet connection**

*Moviestorm is currently only available for Intel-based Macs

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

Known Limitations

  • Due to changes in the latest ATI drivers, users with these drivers will be unable to place objects on set. Please use the version 7.11 drivers instead.
  • The User Account Control facility in Windows Vista can cause problems with Moviestorm. Either disable this functionality, or ensure that Moviestorm is run in Adminstrator mode.
  • Attempting to add several scenes of a large movie to the Cutting Room can cause Moviestorm to run out of memory.
  • Hardware skinning is not supported on certain graphics cards.

Moviestorm is a pre-release product and currently we do not support all hardware and software alternatives.

The guides provide advice on System Requirements, Technical Problems and any Known Issues that might prevent Moviestorm operating smoothly.

Become a Director

As a registered Moviestorm user, you'll be able to create a Director's Page - your personal profile page - that you can use to showcase your talent. Connect with friends and fans, and build up your network of movie-makers and movie-watchers.

Access the forums

The Moviestorm forums cover all sorts of subjects, from favourite movies to camera-work tips. The forums are also often the best place to get help or advice for your current movie.

Upload your movies

You can upload your movies to your Director's Page, the online home for all your moviestorm creations. Every movie has its own dedicated page, and other Moviestorm users can watch, download and comment on your movies.
